The Challenge
North Lakes State College needed a complete temperature-control solution for its canteen, covering chilled and frozen storage as well as comfortable conditioned spaces for prep and café areas. The job required multiple systems to work together, including coolroom and freezer refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation at entry points, insulated panel construction, and electrical controls, all delivered to suit a busy school environment.
Our Solution
We delivered a full canteen HVACR fitout including a custom coolroom and freezer built from insulated panels, each fitted with Mint evaporators, Carel electronic controls, roof-mounted packaged condensing units, LED lighting, and all associated refrigeration components. We also supplied and installed two 14kW ceiling cassette reverse-cycle inverter air conditioners to the prep area, one 7kW wall-mounted reverse-cycle inverter unit to the café, and a 1500mm Panasonic air curtain to the new doorway. The installation included heated door frames, drain heater, perimeter heater, PRV protection, outdoor unit cages, drainage connections, and Colourbond covers to exposed services for a clean, durable finish.
